Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They pass our tests on cleaning and can handle various flooring. Look for models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to automatically empty and clean the stairs.

Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.

After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when required.

The robot comes with an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled as required. It also comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent, with a pair spinning mop heads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of dragging the pad across it.  automated vacuum  are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large margin between obstacles. This can result in missing spots.

The app is streamlined and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for real-time video monitoring. You'll require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris however, it's not able to reach every last bit of dust. It's important to vacuum regularly, once a week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home WiFI network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.

The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range, despite not being able to clean your floors. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system that allows hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dust, dirt, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't pick up cat litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
